Summary of Responsibilities:

The St. Louis Cardinals Corporate Sales & Marketing Department is currently seeking candidates for its Theme Promotions/Events Coordinator position. This position would be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of marketing plans, including creative design, promotions, theme nights and special events at Busch Stadium to aide in ticket sales revenue goals. This position will also assist in the execution of contract fulfillment for specific theme nights for the achievement of Corporate Sales sponsorship revenue goals through contract renewals and the generation of new sales accounts.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Conceptualize niche theme nights that increase home game attendance and ticket sales by creating a premium item and/or event (ex: Star Wars Night, Pride Night, Mizzou Night, Etc.)
  • Work with department members to discuss sales trends, marketing strategies, and event execution details, as well as create and design unique theme night promotional items
  • Research contract details to ensure the development of events that interest target demographics
  • Develop marketing plans and assign ticket prices for each designated theme night/event
  • Oversee the ".com/theme" website to ensure that promotional item information is accurate and photos of items are uploaded within a timely manner
  • Manage promotional item inventory by overseeing the delivery of theme night items prior to scheduled events, and fulfilling internal item requests twice a month or more as needed
  • Assist the Corporate Sales department with pre-game ceremonies and pitches, alumni appearances, sponsor activations, and any other event or administrative duties as needed

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in sales, marketing, business or a related field
  • Experience in the sports/fan entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution, and developing marketing plans

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • 1-2 years of experience in sponsorship sales/account service
  • 1-2 years of experience in event management
  • Experience is using Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience in media planning and the development/execution of integrated marketing plans
