Summary of Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and/or repair all stadium equipment including, but not limited to, mowers, sweepers, scrubbers, gas powered and electric carts or any other mechanical device used by Stadium Operations staff.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all motorized equipment, stadium vehicles and any mechanical equipment used by Stadium Operations staff on a daily basis in order to minimize the need for costly repairs.
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues and conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and decreasing the need for outside contractor use.
  • Attend extended technical training courses to increase knowledge of specialized stadium equipment.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of service technician training/vocational studies
  • 5 years of proven mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and necessary measuring devices.
  • Have attended or be willing to attend a forklift certification program.
  • Have experience working on triplex cutting units used by the field crew.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • High school Diploma/GED
  • Service Technician Certification (e.g. ASE)
  • 10 years proven mechanical experience
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
  • Ability to fabricate machines or mechanical components to specifications.
