Cardinals Care/Community Relations Intern

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Cardinals Care/Community Relations intern will assist the department with programs and initiatives that advance the mission of the charity, and provide service to community programs and partnerships. Interns will assist with the increase in workload created by in-season events and activities. This is a position that will include both being at a computer or desk for periods during the day but will also include work during games and in the community. Must be able to communicate clearly both in person and on the phone. Job will also require walking and being able to safely lift up to 50 pounds when needed.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Regularly assist department staff with:

• Mailings
• Kids Club
• 50/50 Raffles
• In-Stadium Auctions
• Player Ticket Programs

Periodically assist department with administrative duties including, but not exclusive to:

• School programs
• Inventory
• Assisting with any regularly scheduled department programs and MLB initiatives as needed

Assist weekly with Redbird Rookies League activities including, but not exclusive to:

• Administrative support
• Program support
• Support during any off field activities

Education and Experience Required:

• Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program at a College or University with a minimum Sophomore level status
• Interest in community outreach and youth services
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program at a College or University with a Senior level status, or a current graduate school student
• Working knowledge and some experience in community outreach and youth services
