Cardinals Club Host

Summary of Responsibilities:

The St. Louis Cardinals are currently seeking candidates for its Cardinals Club Host position. This position would be primarily responsible for greeting guests of the Cardinals Club during home games, accurately entering their ticket information into a reservation system, and coordinating their seating arrangements with the aid of Sportservice host staff.  Cardinals Club Host also assist with any guest related matters as needed to ensure that guests have a first class experience during their visit to Busch Stadium.   

*** Eligible candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and any weekday afternoon home games as needed.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Ensure that the Cardinals Club is appropriately clean and organized, and there are no operational issues prior to guest arrival
• Monitor Cardinals Club dining sections throughout games to ensure cleanliness and space availability, and work closely with Sportservice managers to ensure tables are being turned in an orderly and timely manner
• Monitor the guest wait list in the reservation system, estimate wait times, and ensure that the needs and any concerns of the guests are met during their wait
• Address and document any food and beverage service or maintenance issues as they arise and effectively communicate them with management
• Work closely with the Operations Department and Sportservice to ensure that the Club is maintained at the highest standard possible

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, provide excellent customer service, and work well alongside others
• Maintain a professional demeanor, appearance, and work ethic at all times. Have the ability to address issues as they arise with guests and offer feasible solutions
• Must be able to effectively utilize a tablet device for the waitlist/ticket managing systems

Education and Experience Preferred:

• At least 2 years of service industry experience
