Summary of Responsibilities:

The St. Louis Cardinals are currently seeking candidates for a Baseball Operations Fellowship based out of their Jupiter, FL training complex. This full-time Fellow will work closely with the Director and Manager of Player Development to provide administrative and logistical support for the Player Development department. The main elements of the job will focus on assisting the Player Development department with all day-to-day operations related to the Jupiter complex throughout the year.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Support both the Player Development & Performance Department with day to day staff/player activity

  • Coordinate travel planning for staff and players to the Jupiter Complex during the entire year, including all player transfers from Jupiter to affiliates for Extended Spring, GCL, Palm Beach, and rehab program, including travel for drafted players and all off-season Performance Camps.

  • Coordinate as the point person with the Team Hotel Administrators all hotel reservations, assisting player/ staff as needed, coordinating players' dinner program, room inspections and changes as requested by the hotel.

  • Serve as an interpreter during staff/player meetings and translate documents as needed

  • Recommend and manage Trackman operators for Extended Spring, GCL and Palm Beach.

  • Submit check requisitions (player reimbursements, and hotel/flight invoices) to accounting

  • Process staff/player meal money on a weekly basis for Extended Spring Training, short-season affiliates, and off-season camps

  • Track and coordinate affiliate nutritional budget

  • Work as GCL coordinator during the season (rosters, umpires, scorekeeper, transportation, etc.)

  • Assist Manager of Player Development with Rule 4 draft on-boarding of players

  • Track and maintain up-to-date forms for staff and players (tax forms, I-9's, health insurance, etc.)

  • Serve as a liaison between Baseball Development and in-game video system companies for Jupiter complex

  • Video clipping of Palm Beach Cardinals home games

  • Assist with special projects on an as needed basis that fall within the scope of Player Development

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University, or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish at a highly proficient level
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
