Home Clubhouse Batboy (Part-Time, Seasonal)

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Home Clubhouse Manager with on-field and off-field duties including setting up and cleaning home team equipment and locker room, setting up the dugout and bullpen before the game, acting as home team Batboy and cleaning the dugout and bullpen after the game.

Job Duties:

• Assist players with on-field/off-field equipment needs: set up equipment in appropriate slots, pickup/replace equipment after hitting
• Prepare and maintain bench and bullpen for games, including stocking coolers, gum, sunflower seeds, towels, etc.
• Launder and fold towels, uniforms, and other clothing as needed by the home team
• Assist in the packing and unpacking of team equipment and other baggage
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Home Clubhouse Manager

Education and Experience Required:

• Current High School student (at least 16 y.o.) with a GPA 3.0 or higher preferred; College student with GPA 3.0 or higher preferred
• Knowledge of the game of baseball
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Ability to multi-task in fast past environment
• Ability to lift and/or carry at least 25lbs consistently
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to hang and fold laundry neatly
• Ability to run/sprint short distances
• Ability to work early in the morning and late into the night several days a week.
• Availability for every St. Louis Cardinals home game throughout season and post season, as well as other days throughout the year for unpacks
