Logistics Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Logistics Coordinator will be primarily responsible for facilitating the receipt of dock operations with an emphasis on proper record keeping and Safety Act compliance. This position is also expected to coordinate storage areas and assist in regular and accurate inventory counts. The Logistics Coordinator will learn all mailroom procedures and act as a qualified backup to mailroom staff when needed. The individual in this position must be able to coordinate and inspect special event spaces before events as needed and handle any other duties and tasks as assigned.

 Essential Functions of the Job:

• Dock operations - coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, keeping accurate records of shipments and facilitate fast and accurate delivery of incoming items.
• Storage space coordination - help maintain organized storage spaces and accurate inventory counts. Work to keep all storage spaces organized, clutter free and communicate with various departments regarding their specific stored items.
• Mailroom and package delivery operations - Proficient mail processing and timely mail deliveries.
• X-Ray trailer operations and package barcode scanning.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience Required for the Position:

• Bachelor's degree in Security Operations, Facilities Management/Operations, or related field; or combination of years of experience and education
• 1-2+ years of experience with data entry
• 1-2+ years of experience working on a loading dock
• 0-1+ years of experience driving a forklift
• Good short and long term memory
• Strong ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
• Good social skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor

• 2+ years of experience with data entry
• 2+ years of experience working on a loading dock
