Mechanical Apprentice

Summary of Responsibilities:

Apprentice will assist the Mechanical Foreman and Mechanical Technician to maintain all HVAC equipment, various pumps, heat exchangers and all bathroom fixtures associated with plumbing and piping.

 Essential Functions of the Job:

• Maintain all bathroom fixtures associated with plumbing. Replace, repair, or rebuild flush valves, flush valve handles, and also all associated piping to them. Install new toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, soap dispenser, or repair them if possible
• Maintain all air handling units in the stadium including chillers, D.C. units, pumps for both domestic, hot water, and chilled water systems. Maintain stock needed to keep the stadium operational
• Install and maintain water heaters, hose bibs, water fountains, sprinkler systems and irrigation. Drain water from the building in the winter and winterize all bathrooms. Turn water on in spring and check all piping for breaks or leaks

Education and Experience Required for the Position:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the principles of HVAC and plumbing
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, use both arms and hands, lift up to 70 lbs, work above ground in various heights and tolerate odors
• Union member in good standing
