Minor League Field Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for overseeing and making final decisions on all aspects of on-field team strategy, lineup selection, training and instruction. Field Manager will be assisted by a staff of assistant coaches which specialized responsibilities.

• Create a positive atmosphere in player growth to ensure optimization of talent
• Ability to clearly document player performance and identify areas of further development
• Eager to use analytical based information and apply it to teaching philosophy

Candidates will need to show evidence of the following:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff and players
• Team-building ability
• Enthusiasm, flexibility, and patience
• Organizational skills
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct pre-game work and throw batting practice
• Flexibility to relocate to different affiliates

Education and Experience Desired:

• Bachelor degree, preferred
• Previous experience in professional coaching
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, helpful but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Stays abreast and adapts to new sports trends and ideas
• Detail oriented
• Basic computer knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word
