Minor League Pitching Coach

Summary of Responsibilities:

The principle purpose of this position is to develop talent while applying a progressive pitching approach and teaching philosophy that supports the organizational core values.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Performance management:

• Evaluate player performance and provide feedback to coordinators, managers, and other personnel
• Create a positive atmosphere in player growth to ensure optimization of talent
• Ability to clearly document player performance and identify areas of further development
• Eager to use analytical based information and apply it to teaching philosophy

Candidates will need to show evidence of the following:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff and players
• Team-building ability
• Enthusiasm, flexibility, and patience
• Organizational skills
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct all necessary pre-game work
• Flexibility to relocate to different affiliates

Education and Experience Desired:

• Bachelor degree, preferred
• Previous experience in pitching instruction
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, helpful but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Stays abreast and adapts to new pitching trends and ideas
• Detail oriented
• Basic computer knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word
• Ability to use iPad video functions and applications
