Purchasing Intern

Summary of Responsibilities:

The summer intern for the premier team publications department in Major League Baseball will assist the group with critical components of the operation and gain valuable professional experience at Busch Stadium this summer. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): editing content for print and digital platforms, managing pre-game field visits, processing and fulfilling orders, overseeing product inventory and providing creative ideas to promote our products on the club's social media and promotional outlets. Intern must be an enthusiastic and creative self-starter who'll provide valuable and lasting contributions for the publications department.  

 Essential Functions of the Job:

• Support Directors and Buyers with some clerical duties
• Research products and vendors for Director and Buyers
• Learn and perform basic buying tasks
• Other duties to be assigned by the Director as needed.

Education and Experience Required:  

• Basic understand of business and purchasing principles

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Minimum junior level status and pursuing a Bachelor's in Business or related major.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• Senior level status and pursuing a Bachelor's in Business or related major.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite specifically Word and Excel.
