Theme Tickets Account Executive

Summary of Responsibilities:

The St. Louis Cardinals is currently seeking candidates for its Theme Tickets Account Executive (AE) position. This position would be primarily responsible for the promotion of Theme Ticket events at Busch Stadium through outreach to outside groups and third party partners to promote sales. In this role the AE will also assist in the creation and activation of 50+ events as a key contributor to Theme Ticket planning committee, whose mission is to produce creative, niche-driven concepts to attract new fans and revenue from non-traditional markets.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Work with a small team of staff contributors from ticket and corporate sales to create new theme events, and maintain/grow successful existing events
  • Assist with the outreach to targeted groups, charities, and other related entities that are the sales focus for theme events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and contacts within targeted sales groups
  • Assist the theme tickets team with development and execution plans for the in-park distribution of items and/or hosting of Theme event. This includes working pregame and in-game distribution and fan upgrades for 50+ game day events.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guest during theme ticket distributions
  • Assist with the planning and execution of internal employee promotional item distributions, as well as any post-game day fulfillments for fans that were unable to pick up their items
  • Assist with any other administrative duties within the department as assigned

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or a related field                                                                                                 
  • 6+ months of sports industry sales and/or marketing experience
  • Experience with Tickets.com or related ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic and communication, organizational, and customer service skills                                                                                     
  • Ability to work in a team environment, be self-motivated and work independently                                                                      

 

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • 2+ years sales and/or marketing experience in the sports industry
  • 2+ years experience working events
  • Experience in working on creative a team and implementing programs
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent work ethic and communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Excellent ability to work in a team environment, be self-motivated and work independently
