Part-Time Key Word Data Entry Clerk

Summary of Responsibilities:

The St. Louis Cardinals are seeking candidates for a Part-Time Video Editor. This position will be responsible for adding keyword data to all museum records that corresponds with HeritageWerks (H5) data base of corporate assets. The successful candidate will have quick typing skills, an analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for precision. This position will be highly relied on for having accurate and updated data that is easily accessible through a digital database. The Data Clerk reports directly to the Manager of Museum Operations/Curator and must have an understanding that data confidentiality principles are essential.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Add key words to individual catalog record within the "Search Terms," "People," or "Subject" fields of the record
• Improve search engine results for specific records for research purposes, artifact selections for museum rotations and exhibits
• Track data entry work through a reporting structure that can be enacted through the PastPerfect system
• Show accountability and provide information to set accurate goals for set periods of time
• Meet with supervisor and other staff members on project details and goals
• Become familiar with the keywords and the hierarchy of key words, provide feedback on key words and suggest additional key words based on catalog records

Education and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2+ years of data entry
• General knowledge of baseball
  
• Ability to work with dedication on a singular objective
• Proficient and accurate keyboarding skills
  

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management or a related field; or a combination of education and years of experience
• 2+ years of data entry
  
• General knowledge of Cardinals baseball history
